The eighth installment in a series of economic strategy games in which we take control of the titular colonists. The Settlers combines known solutions from previous installments of the cycle with completely new gameplay elements. The Settlers is the title of the eighth installment in the cult series of strategy games, born in 1993; production is also a reboot. The game was developed by German studio Blue Byte, which oversees development of the series. The same team has also taken care of the Anno brand since 2006.
Game mechanics of The Settlers: New Allies
The Settlers 8 download is a return to the proven solutions of the third and fourth installments of the series. We play the role of the leader of one of the three factions (Elari, Maru and Jorn), and our main objective is to expand the settlement as much as possible and fight the hostile tribes around us. We will succeed by taking care of military and, above all, economic facilities. They help us with the so-called landmarks, that is, special places on the map – occupying them gives us various useful bonuses (for example, after sacrificing tools, we will receive several weapon parts needed to recruit warriors). The key factor that determines victory or defeat is the economy. We must be careful not to run out of key resources (for example, stone, wood or iron ore). Their production can be accelerated with food – delivering it to the appropriate factory will please our colonists and make them work more efficiently. An important role in the game will be played by engineering units, which we can control manually, as well as our soldiers. They discover ore deposits, expand our territory or bring to the warehouse raw materials from the mentioned landmarks discovered on the map.

The mainstay of The Settlers is the story campaign. It is complemented by multiplayer PvP battles, as well as clashes with artificial intelligence.

The Settler: New Allies Free has three-dimensional graphics in a warm and colorful style. During the game, players can observe the daily life of the inhabitants, observe the later stages of the manufacture of equipment or, finally, observe closely the goods produced by the settlers and the buildings they erect. The production uses Snowdrop Engine technology, which drives, among other things, the Tom Clancy’s The Division series.
