The main attraction of the download Tour de France 2022 game is the opportunity to take part in all 21 stages of the title race from the 2022 season. In the Pro Leader mode, we create our own rider and decide on his profile (we can play the role of a highlander, sprinter, puncher or choose a universal rider; the decision we make has an impact on how our player will cope with certain conditions), and then we fight for victory on our own. In the Pro Team mode, on the other hand, we take control of the entire team, which, starting from scratch, gradually climbs the ranks of the sports career, taking part in more and more prestigious competitions as you progress. This title allows us to fight for victory not only in the title race, but also in a number of others, such as the novelty in the Primavera Classic series, inspired by important Italian cycling competitions. In addition to racing, the license covers both competitors (thanks to which there are, among others, Tadej Pogačar, Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert, Primož Roglič and David Gaudu) and teams (among which there are three new ones, i.e. Eolo-Kometa Cycling Team, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA and Uno-X Pro Cycling Team), as well as brands and facilities set on the routes. The developers have made every effort to ensure that the fight for victory is as realistic as possible. To this end, a race preparation system has been introduced, which means that each competition is attended by five randomly selected cyclists who are particularly well prepared, as well as five more who are not in shape. In order to identify them, we must carefully observe their actions. In addition, unexpected random events appear here, such as accidents on the route or diseases, which have various consequences – from a short-term weakening of a given competitor to a complete withdrawal from the race. The list of novelties is closed by the shocks of the entire interface on paved sections and improvements in the behavior of the peloton (which drives more aggressively) and the so-called escapees (cooperating better than before).

In addition to the Pro Leader and Pro Team modes, the Tour de France 2022 offers a My Tour module that allows you to create your own races; we choose stages (out of 92 available) and teams as well as days intended for rest. A new feature is the Race of the Week mode, in which we pursue various goals (such as winning the general classification or accumulating a large number of points on the mountain sections), competing with players from around the world for a place in the ranking.
